I just purchased another GPU to do my crossfire, I figured I might as well buy a better heatsink while I had the money - seeing as my current one is stock with my CPU. I got some more thermal paste figuring I should put more on when I install my new heatsink- is this correct?

When installing my new heatsink should I apply new thermal paste?

Yes you should clean off the old thermalpaste and apply a new layer every time you take your heatsink off the CPU.

Yeah if you have not already got some thermal paste look into getting Artic Sliver 5 OR TX-2.

Even better,Shin-Etsu but its very hard to come by...especialy over here i dont know why

yes, remove all of the old thermal paste thoroughly. Put a small blob of thermal paste on and then just put the heatsink on, there is no need to spread it as the heatsink itself will do it and fill the gaps

Whats the best way to remove thermal paste? Alch and a qtip?

Thanks for the quick replies guys..
