New heatsink

Do i need a new heatsink? My specs are in my sig... And i'm not at 2.16Ghz I'm at 2.00Ghz cuz i was very unstable.. And if my processor eaches liek 60ish c how does that effect me? I mean it's in the csae you know will i get better performance with lower temps?

yer looks like your running hot, any pics of the case?

wires and dust are big problems, im running 3.0ghz and temps under load about 40-45, idle like 30-35

Hells bells! Thats god damn high for an AMD.

1st of all, I would tidy up case wiring and clear dust like samp4 said (remember samp4, you have an intel)

If that doesnt reduce your temperatures, I would buy more or better case fans, plus a new HSF. I reccomend a Thermaltake Big Typhoon (Its huge, make sure you have space for it)
If you dont want to buy a new HSF, then take off the stock HSF, and reapply the thermal paste with AS5.

dang is that true, that w/e temp2 is, its at -55C...and thats wierd everything else is really low temp except for your CPU. you'd expect that the cold air in the case would help kool the CPU down a little bit. unless you really worked your CPU to get that high.

whats teh advantage of having colder temps
it prolongs the life of the CPU becuase heat will decrease the life.

and that HSF doesnt look too good. at 2300rpm it only blows 28CFM which isnt much.

well thw one i got now is liek 60mm i think.. ill just get teh volcano cuz it's been like 2 mins of prime 95 and i'm at 61c!!!

Wow i put an old fan ontop of my case that blows air out of teh top. and now look at my temps!!

EDIT: is this still considered to hot.. teh temps fluctuate between 57-62c but it's been tstin for liek almost 3 hours

For an AMD, id still say its too hot. What case do you have? I havent gone past 47C with my Typhoon, and that was @ 3.95Ghz.....

i'll post some pics of my case later.. i'm cutting a 3 inch hole out of my case with a hoel saw today and teh i'm gonna mount an 80mm fan.. hope it helps and if it dosent atleast it will look cool hehe

yup cleaned teh case and am now ideling at 39!
That is still way high, my Semperon 3100+ that is 1808.8mhz[No i didn;t OC it, it just runs 9mhz higher for some reason)idels at 26C and maxes at around 43 if I'm playing a game for a LONG time on a hotish day, or it's more at 40ish. My max is your idel.....
Of corse my heatsink and fan is rated for a AMD X2 4800+ and says it will work fine on the M2 which isn;t even released yet. quite too.

Oh and also i have found speedfan and motherboard monitor to give me different readings and what are you doing to give a constant 100%? That will be causing extra heat

id say more case fans wont help alot. get a higher rpm heatsink fan, or a better heatsink.
thats pretty hot for an amd, but i got my old 3400+ up to 80celsius before in a test... seemed to be fine but i reapplied the silver 5 and put a better fan on and it never went above 35 celsius then. lol

The tempature reading's all come from the same thing so they should all be correct, or they should all be incorrect. That is extreamly high for that cpu.
