Thanks for any replies.

Eh... The system's not all that great... I'm pretty sure you could get something better building on newegg. No time to try though, class starting -.-

The CPU is OK, not great though. It'll do most things and game a little don't expect much from it.

As for the graphics card, you don't want an oboard chip, you'll get bearly enough from it to run windows, never mind Vista!

Try and get a mid-range card for your computer, you'll be a lot better off.

The video card is an intergrated one, it's built onto the motherboard, I doubt you'll be able to have all the fancy features of Vista enabled, I really doubt you could use the Aero feature with it.

They do it because it's cheaper to build and easy to fit than a proper dedicated video card.

Dell keeps on assuring me that this graphics card will run windows vista premium with all of its features just fine. Why wouldnt it? It doesnt make sense to me to have windows vista premium and this card coupled together if it cant run it.

It may well do, I supose your 2GB of RAM will help out a lot.

The best thing to do before you buy another card, is to get that one (if you're buying it) and see how it runs on the intergrated one. If it does everything you want/need then it's fine and you don't need another one.

All right. Well, i just ordered the system, that kind of makes me mad that i wont be able to run everything vista included on it. I only use my pc for email, instant messaging and the internet(some low graphics games, nothing fancy), no serious games. I would also be watching DVD's on it. I just wanted it to run vista however i chose it to be, options wise.

You should be fine, for what you are using it for that will be more than enough. What was the final cost?

It should run all of vista's things, but it may not be great for gaming or the really demanding options that Vista has.

729 not including shipping or tax. Well, thanks for clearing that up i was all excited about my system until i read that it wouldnt support the aero feature, which was the main reason i got premium!

Its driving me nutsssss, you guys say it wont run aero and some graphic options vista has, dell says theyve tested it and it can handle all the features of aero. I dont know who to believe! I believe you guys more than dell because they are selling the product, but you guys also game, which i dont so maybe you have a higher standard than i do.

I think it will run the aero feature and everything else that Vista has, you have 2GB of RAM too, so don't worry! :)

I'm sure your new system will be great!

You Shouldn't have a problem running aero, Just know that while trying to do gaming you might need to turn aero off, But you should be able to run aero fine when IMing and surfing the internet that kind of thing.:)

Yeah, i had a budget, you should have seen how many different configurations and stuff i had. In the end i chose a dual core processor and the 2 gigs, i wanted to have more than enough. I dont really store a lot on my PC so i went with the 80 gig hard drive and saved money there. So why do you now say that it will run the aero feature where as before you said it wouldnt? Just interested, i like to add to my knowledge as best i can.

By gaming you mean internet games or serious gaming? I just play games on www.teagames.com, thats the only website i visit haha. Any other sites are just forums i browse or myspace and photobucket. Thats about all i do. I mainly use my PC for talking to friends and family.

You got a core 2 dou? They're awesome!

I forgot that you had 2 GB of RAM, the intergrated takes RAM and uses it so it will run fine, I just forgot about it at the time, sorry :)
