I purchased a computer from Fry's a few years ago and today I just picked up a Hewlett Packard to replace it. The Fry computer has an Intel Pentium 4, 2553 MHz (19 x 134). The new one has an AMD Quad-core A6-3600. also the Fry has 80 gb of memory while the HP has 750gb. I will have more room but will it be faster and will my movies play faster without always hesitating. I do alot of downloading music also. The new computer is a HP P7-1107C. The Fry is a Generic.

But seriously any quad core will do better than a single core, the power supply is a little weak but it looks like it will get what you need it to done...
