New issue with my computer.

My mom wanted to fix up the computer place, so she asked me to move the computer. Afterwards it would turn on then off, like my last problem.

My solution for this problem the last time was a couple of stand offs I didn't remove from the motherboard tray, and replugging the 24pin connector. What I did this time was replug the 24pin connector. So I did this a couple of times until the computer ran.

What's strange is I was trying to turn on the computer while the power supply was off (didn't notice...), but it still turned on. After turning on the power supply, it ran fine UNTIL one of the right LED lights on my motherboard turned off, then back on. My motherboard manual says this means there was a memory issue. The both turn on, but now theres a really short delay for the second LED to turn on, but I DOUBT it's the memory, unless it ment the hard drive? After plugging my monitor back in, I got a windows error. Could the problem be just a bad power supply?

Can you tell the error details?? I don't think it was memorry problem since you can boot the pc.

You know when you restart your computer one too many times and when the hard drive boots and says there was an error and you have to either:
1. Boot in safe mode
2. Boot from the previous Windows state
3. Boot how Windows is

That's what showed up. There are two red LEDs on my mobo, and if the second one is off while the first is on it means there's a memory issue. Its working fine now, but when I boot the computer the second one turns on like half a second later after the first one turns on. I'm not sure if it was like that before because I didn't look that closely at my mobo while it turned on.

Just because he can boot it up doesn't mean there is not a memory problem, the memory could be seated improperly or inadequately which would allow you to boot up, but could randomly cause errors/bsods.

Before jump to conclusion, can you boot your pc to desktop??

Oh yea, I can. I chose to restart from the last successful session. I'm just worried about how the second red LED lights up later than the first, and how the PSU turns on (shortly) even though it's turned off.

I'm not sure if the RAM is seated improperly. I didn't touch it at all, and I'm pretty sure it's installed right. Well, its won't hurt reseating them again I guess, I have to fix up the wires anyways lol.

I see. Your pc actually didn't really have serious problem. it just you worried about the situation right? Can't really tell the solution since the real 'problem' didn't really appear.

About the memory, you can do memory check to see whether your ram is good or bad . The harddisk do chkdsk to make sure the file system is fine because the problem sometimes caused by corrupted file system.

One more thing, how old is your psu?
