Easy, just build the PC, put the windows disk in (how about that drive?IDE?), and install.And than install the drivers.

I get windows7 free through the Microsoft Academic Alliance association, but how would I go about getting that onto my harddrive and setting everything up

Burn the ISO to a disc using ImgBurn and then boot off the DVD you burned and install Windows 7.
