Hi, just wondering what you guys think I should look for in my first laptop. I am fairly knowledgable on desktops and pieced together my own home pc, but have never owned a laptop.
It will not be used for gaming, but will be used for compiling code and programming.
I want a good sized monitor so I can see all my programming and what not (I program Flash, so the GUI can get rather big, and I hate scrolling, especially on a laptop)
I want to spend about $4-500, but can go up to $1000+ if the laptop is super sweet and a good deal and will last me 5 years.
Just a few bonus questions: do most laptops come with several USB ports? How about tablet laptops, any decently priced ones,(I really would love a tablet, I draw a lot)? How about upgrading, do most laptops allow for expansion slots and adding ram/upgrading HDD? What are your favorite brands? Any decently priced double tablet laptops you've seen?
Thanks for any advice you have =)
