New Laptop AMD vs Intel

Hello all,
I had my current desktop die on me...the motherboard burned out. I am looking to replace it with a laptop due to portability. I will mainly use it for web browsing, moving, games (company of heroes, farm sim no brand new games with super heavy graphics) and editing of go pro movies. I have found 2 that i like, and i think the AMD is better but i have only owned intel and don't know much about AMD. I am looking to keep this under $600. I would like a dedicated graphics if possible, hdmi, vga or dvi and optical drive is necessary. I would like to have an easy replaceable battery as well.
Intel:

AMD:

I am of course open to other ideas from those that know much more than i do.

Thanks,
Kevin

Neither one of those has discrete graphics, and the resolution of those displays is laughably bad.

I think this is a much better deal: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-NVIDIA-Windows-E5-575G-53VG/dp/B01DT4A2R4/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1466783052&sr=1-1&refinements=p_n_operating_system_browse-bin:12035945011,p_n_graphics_type_browse-bin:14292273011,p_36:40000-69900,p_n_feature_four_browse-bin:2289793011|2289792011|2289794011

That seems like a very solid unit. I like that i can add another hdd since it comes with a 256. I would probably get a non-solid state due to the price. Thanks for your help.

It's really not that hard to make due with 256GB of storage. The speed you get with an SSD is very welcome, and makes a huge difference over a mechanical drive.

Do you actually use/need more than 256GB though? You can use an external hard drive to save files onto if you feel that 256GB is too small in your laptop.
