Guys I am buying a new laptop for school, will be starting this July. After asking around which brand to buy most people have told me to go with Toshiba. I have chosen this one for now, how do you guys feel about my selection?????

Dang where did you get a laptop that has XP on it?? I don't really like vista for performance reasons. Anyways, yeah your graphics solution needs to be changed. I don't really know what you can get graphics card wise with a 12.1 inch screen? Perhaps a 7400 or an ATI equivalent

Thanks, I will check and see if it will let me step up the graphics card. I had rather have the new Vista!!!!! But that is all they offered on this computer.

Ok, here it is with some changes:

Yea I ended up chatting with the tech rep online from Dell last night and gave him the specs and cost on the toshiba and he said they could not beat that price. He did say there's would be a better biult computer. Do you guys agree or disagree. I do not like the Toshiba customer support center in that I called them last night also and it was just difficulty talking to them. What do you guys think????

I just ordered a laptop as well, for university. It cost me £370 ($740) which isn't bad for the spec, its an acer aspire 1.66GHz with 1GB RAM, 224MB Graphics, 80GB HDD, DVD RW, 5 in 1 card reader, integrated web cam and mic. 14" widescreen, 2.8KG laptop, the battery only gives about 2 - 2.5 hours which isn't too good.

Oh and if that laptop is for school, what do you intend to be using it for, i currently am in my last year at school and i wouldnt need a spec laptop like that unless i was playing games, well i suppose its better to get a good spec laptop now rather than having to upgrade in a couple of years.
