New Laptop

Hi all,

I have been looking around these forums for 'ideas' for a new laptop.

Currently i have Toshiba Equim A60 with a P4 in it running XP. Unfortunately after three years it is finally giving up the will to live

I am starting Uni at the end of September, so need one to take with me, so it has to be resonably light, but still pack a punch.

I will be using it for all the Office suite, as well as Adobe Photoshop. And then whatever Uni throws at me. I also play World of Warcraft quite hardcore, so would be nice if it could play that nice.

I have been looking at Sony's in majority, in particular the:
Vaio : VGN-CR29XN/B : United Kingdom

I like the Sony;s mainly because they product are generally built to high standard, and they look **** good too! :P

I don't fancy a Toshiba again really. I have a budget of 500-600 UK £

Any ideas of decent laptops etc. I live in the UK btw.

Thanks all!

Yeah i can get that one a guy i know who works at Sony of 600£, wondered what if Sony's in general were any good, or if its its not worth that much etc etc. Been a while since i was in the Laptop Market.

well if you check their website you can look at all of their currently available laptops, if thats any help. I would advise against getting one with intel graphics. Better idea to got one with its own memory rather than shared with the RAM, not a celeron, at least 1GB RAM, 7200 RPM hard drive. you might want to come up with a list of ones you can afford
