New Macbook's

Not sure if any of you have noticed, new Macbooks have been released.

The white polycarbonate model is now the 'Macbook' and the Macbook Pro is now available in 13, 15 and 17 inch models.

You can understand that i'm very annoyed considering my recently purchased £1,100 model is now available for just £899, and the new model is better. In addition to that, my 14 day return policy ended today, and Apple are offering everyone who buys a Mac after 8th June, just $10 to upgrade to Snow Leopard when it's released, a week after i buy mine. I contacted Apple, but i can put money on the fact they'll just tell me to get stuffed.

Gutted, :(

no offence dude i feel for you but always research before you make a major purchase like that. Im sure if you would have done a quick google you would have found this out.

That happens all the time in the computer world. Stuff always gets cheaper. Just be happy with your current one, just because they have a new one doesn't make yours any slower. Also, even though you didn't get the $10 upgrade to Snow Leopard, the normal upgrade is only $30.

I didn't realize the upgrade is so cheap, that's not so bad.

I've been scanning the Apple forums, and found that alot of people who purchased Macbooks or MBP's within the past two weeks or so, have been given refunds of the difference, so i'm going to ring Apple tomorrow, and see what they can do.

Thanks for the input guys.

In response to this problem i contacted Apple's free phone support, and they were extremely helpful, they gave me a full refund, and are even sending a courier to pick it up. I've been using it for two weeks as well, Apple support is great! :good:

Thing I don't like about Apple is they don't announce that they'll be releasing a product on a specific date. You'll have to guess what product they'll release or refresh after a major event like WWDC. So you gotta check Macrumors before buying but even they aren't sure if a release of a new iPhone or Macbook will be certain. ;)

Macs to me are totally bogus. To me your just paying to have the name Mac on your comp/laptop. The one thing that i like about Macs is that they don't get viruses as much as dell does.
