All the wires check out, fan is good and solid on the cpu...

PSU should be fine, not sure what else it could be..

Anyone encounter this before?

depends on the motherboard. one thing you can just try it to reset it. eather find the jumper by the slive butten battery and move the swich to reset. and press the power butten. or take the battery out and remove power cord and wait a minut and put it back in

did you make build this yourself? It might be over heating. see if you can get into the BIOS and check the temp.

Yes, can't get into bios, literally, press the button and 1/2 second, bam shuts off.

This is a pretty expensive one too... sigh...

Thanks for helping me.

Thanks, tried that.

Seems to be the PSU. Which is to bad as I don't have another one like this.

I put in a 500w and it boots....

However this 500w doesn't have SLI connectors and XFX (the g-card) demands a NON split sli plug in, unlike BFG where you an just split it. (I won't be buying XFX again.)

Do you think I could split it?

I put in the 500w PSU and soldered the wires to the card. (This is for my cousin, he said he's okay w/ it..)

Works like a charm! F U XFX. ;)
