New mobo advice? Couple of confirmations needed

OK. You may have seen in the graphics card section (topic now irrelevant) that I need a complete upgrade (mobo and CPU). At first I was just gonna upgrade my video card, but I have no PCI-E or AGP slots on my motherboard (which is an Intel Socket 478 by the way). After thinking for ages, I finally decided that for the sake of ease I'm going to upgrade my mobo and CPU to an AMD CPU and a mobo which will take it.
I'm gonna do this in stages. And I have a question for each. Help and advice would be very much appreciated!
1) I'm gonna get an AMD 3200+ Processor (Socket 939). Motherboard-wise...I would need a Socket 939 mobo. It also has to be microATX because...
2) My tower (an emachines) is only small. It also has its own kind of drive bays that are slightly larger than 5.25, so if I took the drives out (a DVD-RW and an 8-in-1 media card reader) they would not fit in a 5.25 slot (at least, without sticking out a horrible amount)
3) Is my move a wise one? And after I put the new mobo and CPU in, can I just hook up everything else (the drives, HD, PSU, RAM etc) and it will work fine?

Some help and advice would be very much appreciated!
Cheers,
Publius

Asus A8V-MX VIA K8M800 Micro ATX this is a mobo that might do
but no your move is not wise wait untill you can afford a new case dvd rw
and pci express card if you dont want to then the mobo above is a agp graphics mobo but it does have intergrated graphics

The Asus A8N-VM would be a better choice, partially because it features a PCI-E slot. The extra cost of this board would be recouped by the lesser cost of a PCI-E graphics card, if and when you do decide to install a seperate graphics card. The A8N-VM CSM would be better still, but more expensive. What's your budget?

I don't want to go AGP graphics really. Are the integrated graphics on an A8V good enough to run Oblivion!? Something tells me no lol...but several people have recommended me the A8N so I think that's what I'll go for. I've found one on an excellent UK site called overclockers.co.uk (you should check it out even if only to see what good stuff they have, and at really good prices) it's a MicroATX A8N mobo and it's only like £50 (around $75USD I think) so I'll probably get that with a 3200+ AMD CPU. Then just hook up all my existing stuff to it and play :)

Not really, and neither are those on the A8N. You won't get decent framerates on even low settings on a game like Oblivion with integrated graphics.
