New Mobo+CPU WTF!!!!!!!

MY friend has just installed a Asrock motherboard, and a AMD Athlon 64 4000+ and is seeing no difference in 3D Mark 06, He just upgraded from a AMD 2800+, and a stock asus motherboard. Now Casey and I are thinking that there should be about 10 frames difference, because His x800xl agp 8x, can get a few more frames for sure, anyone got any ideas why????

Ya really the only 3dmark that was somewhat cpu intensive was 3dmark01 se. 3dmark 06 doesn't focus on the cpu much. But look for the cpu score, as there should be one. Also bench the cpu in a cpu only test, bench it on like super pi on a 1m test. That will show a difference.

Did you reformat the computer?
I know this sounds wierd but it made a difference for me.

Hmm

Are you 100% sure the clock is right? It cannot be. The 2.4Ghz of a 4000+ compared to slower 2800+ should be "visible" straight out of the box.
