ok goin to install a new mobo and cpu into my comp. heard that i might need to reinstall windows is this correct?? and why?? will all my other programs and drivers be ok?? and is there anyway round it??

well there is a good chance windows will boot ok with a new motherboard, but you will certainly not be getting the best performance


Also not you may have issues with activating your version of windows on the new motherboard and cpu, a call to MS will often sort this out
 
There is a possibility that you wont be able to boot into windows, so i would back all my data up first. And as apj said, you will sacrifice performance if you dont do a re-install, and microsoft may ask you to activate again.
