alright so today i got my internet modem changed to achieve higher speeds. after the installation was complete he hooked up a hardwire to the modem and he said everything was working perfectly. that is true because i can also connect to the modem via hardwire but when i tried hooking up my router that i had always used with my old modem it let me connect to it but then once i was connected i did not have internet.. i can only log into the router with 192.168.0.1. and i even tried to reset the router and do the start up guide, still no internet. i can only connect to it. *i have a motorolla surfboard modem now and a dlink dir-857 router. thanks for the help!
