i need one, i want a 19" CRT but it seems newegg only has a limited selection and the prices aren't as low as i would like for the ones they feature.
can anyone find anything good?
LCD's don't support 16x12 like i want for gaming. (awaiting 7900gtx :D)

yea... i guess ill see on what deals come by...
think i've decided that i want an LCD.
thanks for the input omega.
just one more question (for the time being).
is there a huge difference between the response times?
is that like delay before it display the image that it's given?
and does it ever get to a point where its unacceptable in anyones opinion?
i mean i always thought that delay was brought by a mouse, wireless or not.

19" LCD owns a 19" CRT...

The difference in res is made up by the higher contrast, brightness, larger display, and smaller monitor.

Except their more expensive and worse at color reproduction. With a 79GTX you'll want to crank up the resolution and have a better looking game.

Most is personal preferance, how picky you are and what work you do. Like CAD then you'd really want a CRT to get that crisp image.

$150 wont get you anything.

Tweaker's right on here. CRT's have a better range of color reproduction; LCD's are limited. CRTs for CAD are good, yes... but the convergence had better be perfect. That means $150 is out of the question.

Unless you're doing CAD or graphics for a living, get an LCD and enjoy.

The response times for LCDs have almost caught up with CRTs. There are 4ms LCDs (CRTs = 2-4ms), but you won't notice the difference between 6ms and 4ms

CTRs have beter colour quality than LCD??
Yes they do, but LCD's are brighter and have a higher contrast, so they look better when playing games or watching movies.

i know the monitor im getting is a 400$ lg top of the line monitor its not 16x12 but it is 12x10 and it has amazing picture best monitor ive ever seen but ud want it to be for 400$ american

At the same resolution maybe.
Deffinetly at the same resolution. However for movies/gaming, i would choose a 19" LCD @ 1280x1024 with a high brightness and contrast ratio over a 19" CRT @ 1600x1200.
