New Monitor

Update with new monitors

My wife and daughter but my a LCD monitor for Fathers Day. I notice a small spec on the screen where the screen is black. I have taken a picture of it. i was wondering if you can tell me if it is a dead pixel or not. The pic is the best I could do.

Is it there when the computer is on, or is it just when the monitor is off?

that picture was taken with the monitor on. i don't see it until the monito is on.

Is that a black area of the screen?

What happens if you flick it, not hard though?

It's called a stuck pixel. When the monitor is on, apply some light pressure to it with a cloth or towel, it should come out.

I tried what you guys told me to do. I didn't work. I am going to take it back to the store. I was wondering which one of these you would recommend.
