new motherboard/cpu/gpu - old harddrive

Just purchase my new motherboard, cpu and gpu. Recieved them today and was hoping i wouldnt have to formation my harddrive and start from stratch. Is there an easy way to uninstall old drivers after booting with new bits?

You have to format your hard drive when you get a new motherboard. Do you have a retail version of windows or OEM? If OEM, you can only install that on one motherboard, so you'll need to buy another copy of windows.
 
Well you can before they swap out. Uninstall any chipset/audio/LAN/ driver, any that has to do with the motherboard. It will have alot better chance of booting. But it is always better to do a clean install.
 
Should bare in mind too if you have an OEM OS, you won't be able to do it anyway because it will say that you don't have a valid copy of Windows, meaning you will have to either get another key or a full, fresh install with the new key. I would recommend the latter to reduce the chances of instabilities and, as StrangleHold said, increase the chances of the system even booting
 
Right, if you have a OEM copy of windows your going to have a problem. I have got them to revalidate. Tell them bigfoot stomped on it and this one was the closest match you could find. lol just kidding, well about bigfoot. But since you upgraded the board/CPU and GPU they are going to be suspicious about it being a board replacement because it went out.
