I fitted in my new mobo earlier and as i started it up everything seemed fine fans and leds came on the graphics card sounded like the fan was moving a bit faster but that was about it then it came up on my monitor no signal input i have checked all the plugs and switches were in everything seemed fine ! its the Asus M5 A99X EVO motherboard and the ram light stays a steady red when its turned on so at first i assumed it might of been because my ram was incompatible with the board but i wasn't quite sure. any ideas ? heres some of my specs

Phenom II 965 x4 3.4 Ghz
8GB Mushkin Silverline (2x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz
Nvidia gtx 260
750w psu

You got the standoffs under the board in the right places? Got the 4/8 pin CPU power connector plugged in? Got the PCIe power connectors on the video card?

yea my case comes with raised bronze standoffs built in i have the 8pin cpu connector in and the pci-e connectors into my card everything seems and looks fine physically but apparently not

Just because your case came with standoff screwed into the board plate doesnt mean they were in all the right places. They only go under the holes with the grounding strips around them. Any others will ground out on the bottom of the board.

Yes there all in place I tried it with another motherboard and still can't even get past the post screen no beeps or anything the computer comes on fans and leds just the screen comes up saying no signal input I have checked the monitor with my laptop and it works fine I have also put in a diffrent graphics card and still no luck I'm thinking it may be my psu or something else as I had my cpu tested earlier today
