how much money you got? if you looking to improve score, HD or sound cards wont affect it at all. both your mobo and CPU is a bad combination for a fast system. switch to intel and get a p45 mobo with e8400. you'll easily get 4ghz with a mild OC. if you're on a budget, then an e7200 with p43 would be about $100 each in a month or two and performance will only be a few points under an e8400 + p45

I was thinking of going intel..but i'm on a tight budget of 150 dollars..

is my psu powerful enough to handle a 5800+ or 6000+ ?

yes, that psu is more than enough. but why would you get another AMD that is not even 50% faster? save it for an intel platform because they are faster clock for clock, and OC much higher. $150 could get you a p31 mobo + e7200 in about a month

Hmm...what can 250 get me? i'd also like to be able to use the old parts such as the ram, hdd, videocard, etc
