New motherboard

I currently got a gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLi. i live in uk and pretty close to the bunsfield oil explosion. since that day my ram no longer runs in duel channel mode, it crashes, blue screens and restarts, metest failed, i contacted OCZ support and everytign points to healthy ram but problem elsewhere. I can get it to run stable when i put a stick of ram in slot 1 and the other in slot 4, no other combination works.

Is it a possibility the motherboard is going down hill? i dunno, mayeb i am over-reacting? any help apreciated.

if you're really unlucky it will be a problem with your processor as the memory controller is on the cpu.
try all the sticks of ram on their own and try them on different channels. if the ram works on one channel but not the other it will be more than likely the cpu. if possible see if you can get hold of a cpu to check if is the processor or not.

i went through everythign with OCZ tech support guy ryder. We tested each stick on own, worked fine. If i have both sticks in slots 1 and 2, i get instability. Slots 3 and 4(which was working fine) i get instability. The on;ly way i get a stable setup is with slots 1 and 4. Ryder mentioned the memory controller. Unfortunatly i have not got another 939 cpu to test.

i had a rummage around but only found two thins, ram voltage at dffault (bein 2.6) and cou voltage 1.425

Would re-seating the cpu help?

i'm not aware of the voltage that your cpu runs at but the ram voltage looks fine.
i dont think reseating the cpu will make a difference though

damn, £86 down the pan :( i not even paid for it yet

What motherboard would you recomend? there is so many.
