I am waiting for my HP dv8000t notebook and I had some concerns about cooling when it arrives. Here is the configuration: http://computerforum.com/showpost.php?p=278809&postcount=1
In short it is a Core Duo 2.0GHz, 100GB 7200rpm HDD, and 2GB of 667MHz ram. Will I need to get any type of external cooling pad while running it in factory power configurations? Also, after I get used to the system and if I deem it necessary, I will attempt to overclock the CPU. First of all, is this possible with the new Core Duos? Will I need to provide extra cooling to the system? About how much of an increase in clock speed can I expect if possible?
