new nvidia drivers and SLI

i just downloaded and installed the newest nvidia drivers the other day, and they work great. odd thing is, it seems that whenever i start up, i get a little bubble message from the nvidia icon in my task bar. it says that SLI has been disabled because i have removed one of my GPU's. now i suppose this would make sense, except i only have one gpu..

can anyone tell me where exactly to go to tell my drivers that im only using one graphics card? (the 7600gt in my sig)

Hmmm, when did the new drivers come out?

I don't know what mobo you have, but if it has two PCI-e slots, then mabe you can turn of the detection in BIOS. Perhaps if you disable your second PCI-e slot, windows or rather NVIDIA will think your mobo has only one pci-e slot.

Or you can ignore it...

I have the exact same problem with the 91.31 drivers. I just ignore it lol. I think it may just be a bug, because I'm not set to run SLi or anything.

Same here doesn't seem to make any difference.

I'm still learning on dual cards, but could it be because it's in the wrong slot or will it only work in the correct slot?

Otherwise, I would think that it would be in the bios

Nope, as for mine it is in the correct slot, and I checked the bios settings, its just a flaw with the drivers, or at least seems to be.
