New old school cpu or new monitor

Kk thats all well and good but i cant get my head around ocíng lmao. Seriously. Its boggling my brain haha. Especially when it starts going on about memory and shit. I dont even know what memory i have. All i know is its 400mhz, theres 4gb of it and the rest of what i know is in my sig :P

Ok, so i think iv done a naughty thing and i can see alot of bad looks my way :D

I erm....gto brave so to speak and used asus oc profile. Its up to 3.2ghz. temps idle are fluctuating between 42'c to 50 idle.

Is this safe for idle?

and what can i do to stress it to see if its stable?

Can what iv done cause damage?

I used the ASUS OC Profiles too on my 2500K and I've been using it for two months now and not had any issues. I'd say the overclocks ASUS pre-load are pretty stable. :) Not had any crashes or freezes or blue screens due to my overclock.

You can download a stress tester such as Prime95 or Intel Burn Test to test your overclock and make sure it's stable. I'd recommend running Prime95 for around 4-6 hours on 'blend' just to make sure everything is stable.

3ghz so far :D. Hoping to push it more when i get some new thermal compound. Gotta leave prime on over night just to make sure its stable but been running for about an hour so far and no problems yet.
