Nah, the X38/x48 is better, and supports crossfire.

The P45 i'm guessing will end up replacing the P35 in the long run..

The P35 supports CrossFire to, maybe it's replacing the P31?

the 260+ p45's are ddr3, not ddr2 like the cheaper ones

it doesn't support "Full" crossfire, only X16/x4, which is nearly pointless.

I'm thinking its the next step up from the p35...

Ahh ok so it is really like a p35 only with 2.0 Pci express and not full crossfire?I wonder why they would make a board like this after the X38/x48 boards have been out so long.If you only want to run one card would it OC higher than the X38/x48 boards though?Also if it doesnt OC higher why would people get this board?

The P45 is the replacement for the P35 . I've read several post on (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=189437 ) that the P45 is way better for oc'ing the new 45nm quads . The Asus P5Q Deluxe has alot of good reports coming from it thus far.
