thats it, i will probably use vista home premium 32bit for compatibility reasons.
i don't play any big games like crysis or anything, i usually just mess around in some command and conquer or stuff like that

I dont know if all those parts are compatible with eachother so can someone help me with that

thanks in advance

Few things:
1) You need at least 1333MHz DDR2 memory, not DDR3
2) You have SATA and IDE (drives and hard drives) which is OK, but just know that
3) That Power Supply is overkill, you can get a nice 850w modular Ultra X3 for $170 which is still more than you need

besides for that you should be fine, the only real problem is the memory.

can u point me in the right direction cuz im new at this thing
why cant i have ddr3 memory?

i would say go for a little cheaper mobo and maybe a cheaper case and get a better gpu. the 9800gt isnt even close to the cards you can get on newegg for the same price. go for a 4870 or a gtx 260 depending on the mobo if you change it

point me in the right direction for mobo

this looks to be a decent board that runs sli at 16x/16x if you decide to pick up another gpu later

Or you culd go i7 processor and get this board and this cpu for about the same price, note that it only supports ddr3, heres some good ram to.

no offense but if you are going to overclock your CPU, you have to be self dependant enough to at least know about the stuff you're buying, I told you that you need at least 1333MHz DDR2 memory, type it in to a search engine and you'll find a bunch of stuff, the rest you have to do on your own.

oh and i forgot to say you can't have DDR3 memory because your proccessor and motherboard don't support it.

Just please don't give any more advise, do you even know what you are talking about.

About the hardware you have picked...this is what I see when I look at it. What is your total budget? That is what we need to know.

Case: Coolermaster HAF, to expensive...you could get a cheaper case and put the money somewhere else. It is a nice case, don't get me wrong. With shipping, you will pay around $200 for that thing. Maybe look at a combo deal. Here is a Thermaltake case and power supply deal for under $260. Look at the bottom left of the Newegg screen for the combo deals.
Thermaltake V9 Black Edition case and Thermaltake 750w modular Power supply

Monitor: The one you picked is a deactivated item...no longer available. I have always liked Samsung monitors. They have many 22" on Newegg.

Motherboard, CPU and RAM that you have selected will be over $500. Have you thought about maybe an i7 build? Here is a few things to consider.

The motherboard you have selected DOES take DDR3 RAM...do not listen to the above posts. Here is the manufacturer's web page. You do understand that you will more than likely need a water cooling set up for that motherboard...the Northbridge has a liquid cooling block already installed.

The video card you selected will not give you the performance you need. This video card will not perform up to par with the rest of the system. It would be like getting a V6 2.4 liter engine and putting it in a Corvette...here is one to consider. I know you don't play many games but this card will crush anything you throw at it. eVGA GTX 260 Core 216 SC edition for $250...that's where the extra money from the case comes in;) .

If that is too much consider a 9800GTX+ card....very good card for the price
eVGA 9800GTX+ SC Edition for $154
