I am havening more trouble then I though I would putting together my E6600.

Everything is set up accept the Case LCD alone with its temp things. Also the front fire wire port and audio.

The mobo have no instructions what so ever on which pin to put where. The only instructions it has was how to place the USB2.0 and Front panel powers.

This is the case that i have http://www.xoxide.com/x-purity-case-lcd.html

its got all these sensor things for the cpu, ram, gpu, but i have no idea where to place them. it is not a plug, it is a orange thing with a gold thing inside it, i think i have to stick it somewhere but I have no idea.

Anybody got any idea what i am talking about?

if you know how to set up the front panel and its sensors, please help me.

Thanks allot.

On a case like that you would probably end up installing additional temp sensors other then the ones built into the board itself in order to connect the front display. As for the audio and usb there are two small blocks of pins on the board itself where the diagram usually found in the manual is the reference to use there like you would for power, HD led. reset, etc. with the second for additional front usb ports.

Some months back a friend went into a new build with the NZXT case seen at http://www.xoxide.com/nzxt-nemesis-elite-case-black.html You can see where a similar problem came up with everything on the top of the case there as far as the temp monitor. He finally gave up on that and simply left those unplugged.

I looked through he manuals and there were no instructions for the fire wire and front audio.

it is just a same then since the LCD with temp display was the reason whey i got it...

this is the mobo i use by the way. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813131142

That model only has one block of pins for the front panel connections and apparently none for additional usb ports. I can clearly see the one blue colored block seen along the edge for Pled, Hled. reset, board speaker from the image for that model. That board is more of a budget deal then a full featured model with the addition items needed for the case you selected. Unfortunately that's where your problem is.

hmm. I guess i will have to go with out them. might not even use them anyway.

thanks PC eye. Can you take look at my thread here please.

thanks again.

The case looks good but the board itself lacks sorry to say. Unfortunately you already ordered the board and then found this out. I have some of those options on the Asus A8N SLI model board here you can look over to see why I am able to hookup sound and usb on the front. If you look closely at the lower left corner of the first photo seen at http://www.tbreak.com/reviews/article.php?id=346 you can see the two blocks with the primary being multicolored while the second is an amber or yellowish color there.

The focus I was geared when ordering the case was for increased airflow to see low temps overall rather then a nice lcd temp display. Even with the board here I would have to install sensors other then the factory ones to have temps displayed. The case is seen at http://www.xoxide.com/aerocool-aeroengine-2-black.html I added two Antec blue led 120mm fans on the side cover to insure lower temps here.

Had no idea that the board I got didn't have these connectors. i though all boards have them. Its no big deal, i don't think i ever use them anyways.

So thats the case you have? the front fan looks like a jet engine, very cook, now if only it spins like one.

I don't think I will Install more sensors, Can't wait to fire up that baby.

Just one question. I have the dual channel ram and there are 4 slots, same like the picture you show on the link. Do i put the RAM in the two slots that right beside each other?

thank you PC-eye

The manual will point out the A1 and B1 slots for the first slot on each channel which should point to the yellow colored slots as the first for each there. Installing a pair one in the yellow and one in the black would stay in the single channel mode only using only one of the two. With a single dimm you would generally have that in the A1 yellow slot.

For the turbine look they added a plastic wheel with fins right in front of the actual 140mm square shaped fan there. That then cause the wheel to spin as the fan draws the air in. Someone else here also went with the same model and eventually took the front off to correct the wobble the wheel sees as that spins. When it sticks at times when first starting up I give the front a slap to get that going. But it does keep the temps down.
