New PC: CS:S wont start...?

It comes up with the screen saying "preparing to launch counter-strike source" goes throught that quickly then just doesn't open???

Running Vista home premium 64bit edition
 
geeze, a bump after not even a half an hour? give some time for somebody whos experienced and fixed the problem to read and reply :P


hmm...by any chance is it a cracked verison? :P
i've also had problems playing counterstrike and half life, but the game is cracked. so don't know if its because of vista, or just the crack maybe not being good for vista.
