Hi,
I'm currently looking at piecing a new pc together for Media Tech at work (School). The main use is Adobe Premier CS6 and working on HD video and rendering gps of video etc. This is something I have at the moment - My main thing i'm still trying to understand from what I can research is the video card to get most out of CS6 and the new Mercury stuff.

Budget is around $2,000 Aus. and will be getting parts locally as its work budget etc.

Is this for those projects only? No gaming? If so, I'd drop to a 650 or similar. Way overpowered for those apps. Won't notice a difference.

yeh just for adobe premier cs6 only.

Don't need hard-drives as we have heaps already and going to get case that has hot swap mountable for hard-drives so can just swap them around as need. At moment have external hard-drive docking bay so if we get case with built in bay can get rid of external one.

to OP. everything thats been suggested to you so far, is spot on. go with a 650 2gig card over a 670. adobe will not use that much power that the 670 has to offer. drop the psu to something like suggested, or my prefrence is this...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151087

16 gigs seems liek it will do okay, but i use adobe as well, and i often wish i had gotton 32. ive learned that if you create a ram disc and use that as your work ing drive for the adobe projects, it helps out alot with rendering times.

other than this, you are looking great.

Thanks for suggestions.

I'll drop GPU to 650

I can drop PSU but i was thinking with the internal hdd docking station i would need more if i'm powing 2 ssd and harddrives that i mount in that. Not so good on working out the watts etc but that was my thinking for higher psu
