New PC for some gaming... First build

So I plan on building my first PC, or possibly buying a new laptop (sticking with the desktop for the sake of this post). I am in college and have an old gateway M-6864FX and do a ton of low end gaming on it. I also use it for CAD and other things for school, but it is beginning to be a pain between all the crashing and just overall poor performance. It is a shame because I remember back when I was 14 saving up the 900$ to fork out for a nice new PC, but it is past its prime. Anyways, I would like to fix up this old desktop my dad gave me with around 350$. That pretty much means all I will need is a CPU/APU, new ram, an HDD/SSD, and a mobo (possibly a gfx card if going with a CPU). I will be running CAD very intensely, and most likely some battlefield 3/4, ESO, Max Payne 3, Far Cry 3, AC4, etc. Would like Med. settings at 1600x900 with a good 30fps. Here is what I had in mind... Suggestions?

Mobo- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132030

RAM- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231653

APU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113280

Cheers!

Mobo - get something support FM2+

CPU - may worth spending extra $10 for Richland

What PSU has your existing machine got?
If it is not a brand one, I suggest you spending a bit more to change it.

Ah yes, must have missed the Richland, that should put up better numbers than the other one, swapped the Mobo and you are probably right about the PSU, its an old corsair, only putting out 320w, good catch :good:. I believe that should be it then... Anyone have experiences with this or a similar APU? Am nervous to try one but have heard many good things when paired with some speedy RAM. Plan on putting an R9 in it when I have the money anyways...

If your existing PSU is Corsair CX400, i don't think you need to change it right now. Leave it until you upgrade Video card.
