New PC Required

I am hoping someone can help me, I am looking to buy a new PC and I am having problems searching for my ideal PC (two many! :) ).

Budget:
(as low as possible) - I can go to £800 - £1K

Usage:
- Microsoft Office
- Internet
- Gaming (any games)
- VMware Workstation - http://www.vmware.com/products/ws/
(Enables me to run two operating systems on one system - can be memory hungary)
- I would like a fast processor, so I don't have to update the system for a while.

Any ideas?

processor: x2 3800 is good enough,
ram:1gb
video card: cheap ones, may be nvidia 6800...
monitor: lcd 17'
psu/case, and mose/keyboard;;
