New PC Specs - is this good for gaming?

I've had my crappy computer for 7 years! bout time i got a new one, was looking at the specs for different models

Its a dell, but it looks kinda groovy! lol

PENTIUM 4 630 (3.40GHz, 800MHz fsb, 2MB cache)

is this good enuff to play the latest games? and perhaps the majority of games for the next few years?

Also, i have the choice to get either a Single 256MB GeForce 7800GTX or Duel 256MB (512MB) GeForce 6800 DVI.........which is better?

What mobo you getting ?, 7800 is the better than the 6800 !

Its hard to futureproof a system "a few years" when it comes to gaming. But I'd say around 2 years.

well it doenst say the motherboard name because its a dell and they use their own cheap mobos to save money.
 
If you'r going gaming Id suggest a AMD as there better for games and the mobos are cheaper than Intel ones a 3700 is equiv/better than a 3.4Ghz Intel P4!:)

Yea but he chose dell which dont offer AMD. Personally i would go with a comp from HP which offer AMD processors.

Maybe in gaming, but not in anything else.
