Hey all,
I'm building a new pc. Heres everything i'm going to buy to build it. If you have any suggestions at all, please fell free to say so! Also, advice on how i could save money, but still achieve the same performance would be nice as well. Thanks!

No, your rig is fine. You need 2GB for vista and such. Keep the E6400. (Although id wait for DX10 cards)
 
So do you think everything i am deciding to get is fine? Also, i forgot to ask about which dvd-rw drive i should get. I want to be able to burn cd's, dvd's and install apllications, so which drive should i get? i dont want to spend more than 50$ on the drive.

I have 2 lg ones on my computer and they work greattt.
 
2 DVD drives just makes for more laziness. I have 2 and love it. 1 burner and 1 dvd drive. I use Liteon DVD burners and they are quiet and rock.

Direct X 10 is the new graphics interface program coming with Windows Vista. XP uses Direct X 9.0C. The newer video cards are giong to support DX10. The 8800GTS and the 8800GTX already support it.
 
I suggest buying a cheaper video card and then upgrading to a DX10 Card later. I myself am getting the 7900 GS until the price goes down on the 8800 GTX.

No it will not. I have no issues with getting a cheaper card now. IF you're doing the following:
1) Not upgrading to Windows Vista soon (next 6-8 months after Jan release)

2) Not running high resolutions. (1600x1200 or higher with high settings)


If 1280x1024 and on down the 7900 GS will be a good card. :D

I wont be running vista, but i will deff. be running in 1280x1024 resolution. So you think i should go witch a cheaper card?
