New Power Supply For Vostro 200 Mini Tower

Hey, im new to forum but hope i can help and learn alot more stuff about computers anyway..

i got a Dell Vostro 200 Mini Tower (Not the slim)

and i want to get a good graphics card and more ram but the power supply i got at the moment is only 300w so i was wondering if i got lets say a 550w and swapped them straight over would anything likely to be damaged or run incorrectly?
