new problem

ok I got everything apart and stored away, I hav ebeen told I need a new mobo, my friend has one I can try and have if it works, but I wanted to know your guys input what happens when I turn on the computer it comes to the start up screen then goes blank, then the start up screen comes up thien it goes blank, etc, etc....
