New Processor Issue With Motherboard

Hi, so I recently upgraded cpus from a fx-6300 to a fx-8370. I've tried installing the 8370 twice and my computer turns on but it doesn't boot up. I have the 6300 installed right now and I think the problem has to do something with my motherboard. I've read that I need to upgrade bios but I'm not really sure what to do and I need help.
My specs:
Fx-6300
Gtx 770
motherboard is GA-970A-UD3P
Hx1000i
16 gb ram

You need to update to at least the F2g BIOS to support the newer CPU.

The ZIP may come with a flash utility or you might have to put the binary image on a flash drive. Most newer BIOSes have an EZflash type of utility.

Don't use rar program for zip files for one. Just unzip the download and put the files on a usb flash drive and boot to the bios and use Qflash to update the bios. There will be instructions in the owners manual too.

I have used @bios for Gigabyte for years and never had a problem. Just download and save the bios, run @bios and direct it to the bios update.
