I have a system that i'll be changing its proccessor to P4 2.4A its loaded with vista home basic . Do i have to reformat it or not allow to access Window after the changing of processor ?

no you will not need to format your hard drive or windows. all you will need to do is replace the CPU then load the computer up and boot in to the bios to check that your new cpu is working correctly.

just changed my proc last time, and after it loaded windows it screwed my ASUS Probe the temp just went up to 100C, checked inside and touched the HSF and its not that hot.
just reinstall windows just to sure.

is it possibe to uninstall the drivers for a processor in device manager? I know it in the but what will happen?

You don't need to do anything other than reset BIOS. A few motherboards have killed processors because the user didn't reset the BIOS settings to the default settings before putting a different processor in the machine. Strange, but worth the extra 30 seconds, just in case.

If the CMOS has been programmed with a much higher voltage or clock, or worse overclocking parameters, then I could see some problems, but none so far a the death of the chip! especially when you consider the socket. Any CPU that can fit into a specific socket will not be so different from the next, voltage requirements may have went down but not so much as a 286 compared to a x2 or C2d! The motherboard will refuse to post upon next startup use must either reset the CMOS or boot into the Bios and rectify said problem.
