Are there any new Processors due to come out in the first 1/4 of 08 that are better then the Q6700?

Correct me if i'm wrong but the Q6700 seems to be the Processor to get right now right?

the amd quads are coming out then probably but I don't know if they'll b better

The new intel lineup is being released Q1 in 2008. As for the processor to get right now, I believe it's the Q6600, as it costs less than $300.

Actually the best processor out right now is the QX6850, which unlike the Q6700, has an unlocked multiplier and a 1333MHz bus (vs 1066MHz).

yeah and for almost four times the price of a q6600 lol

yea, i agree with the q6600, the q6700 is really expensive and the performance difference is not great enough to justify spending $1100 on a cpu.

The QX6850 costs $1,034, whereas the Q6700 "only" costs $949.
