is this rig alright for gaming and overclocking?

is this rig good for hardcore gaming? tnx in advance :)

Not bad, but 2500k if you want to overclock, non-k's multi is locked and fsb overclocking is a bad idea on sandy-bridge, causes issues. Also, you need an OS, win7 64-bit oem. For the money, 8gb's of 1600mhz would be smart, they're so cheap now might as well get it. And that psu sucks, get like a corsair cx600 or something.

Thermaltake Litepower 700W , or Acbel R8 Power II 650W?

I wouldn't touch either of those. Antec/corsair/silverstone/seasonic/nzxt/pc power and cooling/xfx are the ones to look for.
