Ok so I just got a job over the summer and decided that i want to build a new computer. not sure what everything will cost but I will list what I want it to do. I want it to go i7, want to be able to throw any movie, game, application at it. Want to be able to convert videos quickly. I am going to start learning on how to edit video's and such. I am also gonna be needing keyboard, mouse, monitor etc. I want it to be future proof and have room for upgrades. I want it to be good because i'm not worried about going over 1k since an ok i7 build cost this much. i guess as long as it doesn't go over 3-4k with everything. If you could fit in a 1080p hdtv in thier that would be great also...:D I will also like to sli just because I want to lol (now that i have money for it..:good:)

Oh I would also like some speakers and a sound card to fine tune them.... maybe the z-5500 unless their is something that sounds better when playing games and watching movies...

So what, 3k or so towards computer/monitor then the other $1k or so towards a tv/speakers?

sounds good so about 4k? if you can go under that'd be good but that doesn't mean that you have to so you can get the better parts

If you get a Vizio the 32" TV would only run you around $700, check Costco. I would recommend the Logitech X-540 5.1 speaker system. It definitely gives me enough sound, and I keep it at 1/4 volume. It runs for about $70 so it would help cut back on the cost, unless you want the best there is. Honesly though, I can't complain about the X-540.

Do you have an ATI/NVidia preference?

i would like 2 gtx260's or 275 's =]...... oh and yah I have the z-560 my friend had the z-5500 and they were awesome... price isn't much of a deal I really going the whole 9 yards one this build

Newegg>Costco for tv's. Ill get up a list in a bit.
well since 1080 starts at like 37" maybe 40-42?

Nope, 32" 1080p is pretty common, the smaller the screen at 1080p the sharper the picture will be.

I was also thinking on getting the coolermaster HAF 932 since alot of people already have the antec 1200.... just wanted something different.... looks cleaner than the 1200 also

does the sparkle brand matter? i like evga's gtx 275 and xfx's 275 looks nicer imo... what do you think about this motherboard? i know it's a little much but I just wanted to go all out on this build 4x ( more future proof? and looks nicer) colors on the gigabyte aren't very attractive...

Cant do quad sli no matter how many pci-e x16 slots, 4 pcie slots can only be used with an ati card... for nvidia quad sli youd need a dual gpu card like a GTX295(which is severly overpriced considering its basically two GTX275's on one card). The HAF932 is also a great case. I was recommending the gigabyte mobo as it has watercooling barbs already on it, so you could watercool it along with your cpu;)
