I have a new rig that does not have a OS yet and i have the windows 7 iso on a disk.
What do i do now? pls help.
Hey thermal, my asus support disk isnt recognized by windows 7. What do i do?
Well i have till a august to use this then. then i will decide what to do. But why would i buy vista when windows 7 is in the making. doesnt make sense to me.
What does it say? I am not really sure with windows 7 as I have not tried to install it yet. I did apply to get it so when I have it installed I will be able to help you out more. But in the meantime see if you can install the vista drivers.
Run windows update it may have drivers for your motherboard.
Access the device manager and look for any yellow question marks. The only driver you may be missing is for the SMbus controller, which really isn't critical. I'm running an X58 system, and all my hardware was recognized by Windows 7 upon installation, including my video card.
Hmm idk what SMbus is but. Since my disk doesnt work with 7. I cant install like the turbo V and stuff or my software for the OC/Palm screen thing that came with my mobo. Ill try the device manager thing when i get home.
For applications like this, you can right click the setup.exe or installation package and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility." The OS will attempt to install the program in compatibility mode for Windows Vista. It may not work, but it's worth a try.
when i go to canirunit.com and see if my comp can handle a game, i pass everything but i fail the OS LOL. says i have windows 7000 or something.
