New Samsung monitor is sh**? or need to config it?

hi there,

I've hooked up my new monitor to my Imac as a secondary monitor.

the picture quality is, excuse my language, absolutely bollocks

How can i configer it to look as crisp as my imac?

item: Samsung SM245B+ 24" TFT Monitor Widescreen 1920x1200 3000:1 400cd/m2 5ms H/Adjust VGA/DVI-D Black

Explain what you mean by crap picture quality... what exactly is wrong with it?

Samsung usually make decent TV's / Monitors, Im using a TV and Monitor now on my PC and they are fine. It may just be a faulty monitor, give us some more details so we can help!

Samsung make some of the best panels out there. I'd say u may have got a defective one.

I guarantee you will be happy if u return and get new one that works

I honestly not a monitor expert but the panel you have is a good one!!

3000:1 is good, 5ms is good on 24" panel, and the res should provide you nice visuals...

Maybe you wanna try on another machine first? say a buddies computer and then if its still shite..take er' back and exchange or try a different model.

As I say, my experience with Samsung has been virtually all positive so, worst case scenario--they should hook you up with a replacement.
