New system - DEAD :( What to look for??

Just bought an almost Hi-End computer on E6600, put everything together, power on, all coolers start working, nothing happens. Tried to plug and unplug dimms in different configurations, turned off all DVD/HDD... Even plugged off video to check for keyboard reacton. Nothing.

Some light is on on MB, cpu cooler starts working and video card cooler also starts working. Nothing else, monitor dead "no signal". Where to look for? Bought everything on NewEgg.

How can I say which component dead, or may be its just me plugging stuff bad? (I did at my best!)

Here is what it is:

E6600, ASUS p5B Delux MB, Corsair XMS DDR2 - 800 2 GB memory,

zalman CPU cooler (CNPC9700)

seasonic S-12 power

Antec 1 P180-B case

BFG GeForce 7600GT video,

WD Raptor 10000 RPM HDD

Also case for some reason without speaker :(

May be I need a memory that can work on 1.8 Volts to power it up? The one that I got seems to be 1.9 ..

How do people do this??

Victor my first suggestion is that you start using the edit button instead of making a triple post.

Second check if the power unit is running properly, if not try chaging it with the old one that came with the case and reduce the amount of components installed if it runs with the old one it means that the seasonic is DOA so you should RMA.

Post Data: i personally think is the seasonic power unit from what i have seen in newegg there are bad comments on almost every single one of their version such as:

Cons: Dead out of box. Looks like this company has a quality control issues.

Not that it matters, PC speaker is dumb :P jk

Theres no difference between the two really, that and it's set automagically

Try the other PCIE slot? Cant remember if the video has a power conenctor, if so, make sure to plug that in

Does MB itself have speaker?
Should come with one in a little bag. Not that it matters all that much,

The reason for this question was that I should not worry about absence of speakeron the case, right? If everything is loading OK, I should hear the beep, right?

And also, what is the minimum do I put in to hear this "beep of heaven" :)? Should I hear this beep if I just connect power to MB, mempry and proc, or I need video as well?

The reason I am asking is that can I test by this beep MB/Chip/Memory or I can test only MB/Chip/Memory/Vidoecard? Am I understandable?

Umm, you must have a CPU, RAM and video card present to get a beep. If not you will heard error codes, which you must consult your manual to interpret.

I do not hear anything :( All fans keep working, but no video, no beeps,... nothing.. What can be the problem here? CPU? MB? PSU? VIDEO? or MEMORY?

Hello Victor i had the same problem with my first build yesterday, the answer to my problem was that i hadn't connection all three power connections just the one as it happens.
