New System; need HELP with Voltages such on q9450 on Asus maximus formula

Hi Guys,

I just build a new system. It has the following specs:
Mobo: Asus Maximus Formula
CPU: Q9450 with Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Ram: 4GB Corsair Dominator PC-8500 5-5-5-15 @ 1066
GPU: XFX 9800 GTX
PSU: 650W Corsair

Now, I have some problems with setting the Voltages in the BIOS.
Is there any best settings for the CPU or does it vary from PC to PC?

Also, when i set the timing and latencies for the RAm, asus pro goes crazy telling me the voltages are too high. How much can it take?
And apperently, my north Side Bus also gets too hot. PC PROBE shows 49-50C
. Is it really too much?

You didnt say if your trying to overclock or not. If your running your CPU stock as in not overclocking just leave the voltage set to auto in the bios. As far as your memory if it boots at 5-5-5-15 at 1066 why are you fooling with it, if its running underclocked and your trying to get it stock I think the voltage for that memory at 5-5-5-15 at 1066 is 2.1V

hi, thank for the info, but it is on 2.1v and the memory runs at 800 cuz everythin is set to auto... should i then change it to 5-5-5-15or 12 at 1066?¿!
as far as i know, the memory is overclocked and therefore should run at 1066. sorry abt that but im a noob in the overclocking industry...

bump the memory up to 2.2v and it will run at 1066 5-5-5-15-2t. that's what i had to do with my identical ram.
 
just run the ram at lower speeds. as far as the Q9450 goes watch your temperatures if you plan on overvolting... and hope your particular board is a nice one. my DFI overclocks great but it won't overvolt my cpu very well since it was designed to take dual cores and even though its compatible with quad cores it doesn't give them their voltage well and it makes the system unstable.
 
thanks for your replys guys... I was a little busy lately with uni and all...
So u think i should put the ram voltage up to 2.2v and set the timings manually to 5-5-5-15? what does the 2t stand for? and will it then run on 1066 once the timing's r right or do I also have to change it manually?

I c what u mean, but that's the reason y i purchased these ram! for their speed and reliability at 1066MHz. so it would b pointless leaving them at 800?!? don't you think?!
