I have new system just built

i5-750
GA-p55a-ud4p
OCZ 2x2 gb ram
samsung 1tb
powercolor hd 5770
antec 650w
lg dvd writer
window 7 64bit

computer freeze with one color on screen (all red, or all grey, or blank screen, etc) when i am playing 3d intensive games or just surfing the net. it happens few times on one day or doesnt happen for two days or so.

One thing I noticed is computer screen blink (goes blank and come back(about less than 0.5 sec)) couple times or so before it freeze.
Another one is when i tried to read the virtual drive, it give me reading error but the image file is already been read correctly or can be read correctly after reboot.

I have tried resetting memories and video cards....same result.
I dont know what else i should do the fix this problem and i have almost nothing to change to see if one of component is problem.

Please any suggestion would be helpful. thank you in advance.

It would seem as if your graphics card is faulty. where did you buy your parts? If from newegg contact them and start an RMA. If you bought from a physical store take it back and get it replaced.

Very likely the video card as link said, but I'd also consider some other things. You may consider allowing memtest86 to take a few swipes on individual sticks of RAM to confirm it's good. If you have another power supply, you may consider trying it out to confirm your current on has enough juice/isn't malfunctioning. Even different drivers if possible; newer or older.

I bought this boxed video from local computer store called NCIX.

and i have installed latest driver.

I will try the memtest86 to see if thats the problem.

Are you overclocking any of your components presently? If so, I would reset them to settings recommended by the manufacturer.

it was factory overclocked ...to 875.
so i reduced to ati 5770 video card stardard 850.
still have same problem....and temperature is around 40C when it was frozen.

ran few test with memtest86+....found errors but some test came out fine.
someone told me it maybe incompatible....
going to exchange it ....hope it runs fine with new ones.

You downloaded the latest drivers right? You didnt use the CD is that correct? That video card should be compatible, im not sure on why someone would say its incompatible.
