new to me montior, will it work with my pc?

My viewsonic went on the fritz and is only flashing a display. I am looking on craigslist for an acceptable replacement and found an Acer x192w 19 inch. I have a dell 5150 mfg date 11/05 pentium4 runs with windows xp. Will the Acer be compatible with my tower? will I be able to view with wide screen? will all the cables work?:confused:
 
im guessing you have a vga output from your video card, it will be a blue plug in your monitor, as long as that monitor has vga output you should be fine
