I use the Logitech G500 with my desktop rig which runs about $60 on Newegg. But I figure a good $20 would suffice. Depends on what you want to get out of using a mouse, I guess. The G500 has ten buttons on it. Great for gaming. The large price tag goes along with it too.
I've used a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 for my laptop. That was pretty nice to have for gaming on my laptop, since it was wireless and it was good quality. However, it's a full size mouse which fits the hand nicely but it has a big USB wireless receiver too. Not exactly the most mobile-friendly device but it works good.

Any mouse IMO is great to use for gaming on PCs except those teeny tiny ones you can pick up for five dollars. I usually tend to go for the wireless ones though without the "track balls". Recently an old friend of mine picked up a new kind of mouse called a R.A.T. and they sound pretty cool if you ask me. Then again, they are quite pricy.

ive got a RAT 9, it was about 100 quid so yeah pretty expensive but its one of the best, most customisable mice out there imo. Although the first one did break on me

Normally I would say that a headset is not all that important but since you are on a laptop I can see it being a bit bigger of a deal than for a desktop user. Still I see no need to throw a whole lot of money at a fancy gaming headset. Just the standard will work just fine.

Just wondering, what laptop did you get? I would put screen size at the end of the spectrum when choosing a gaming laptop.

Don't skimp too much on a headset though, remember that if you are going to be using those as the primary communication device they've got to be comfortable. Get some that go over your ears completely so that they're not resting on your ears. Should be much more comfortable and allow you to be much more effective when playing...

I wouldn't go with a wireless mouse. Greater delay and it can randomly jump around the screen, which isn't great if you are taking aim at someone or about to click a spell/raid member in the middle of a boss fight.

Any of those, depending on budget. If you are on a bit of a tight budget, look for a Logitch MX518. One of the best bang for buck mice, and even though it isn't the most expensive, if it feels comfortable to you, it is a hell of a gaming mouse.
Honestly, I would get the mic and the headset separately. Generally speaking, it is much easier to get a decent sounding headset for less than one with a mic on, and you can pick up a desktop mic for a couple $ and it will give people you are speaking to the same sound quality as if you spent 10 times that amount.
Communities and clans all use TeamSpeak or Vent. When I played WoW, the guild I was in used vent, I now run my own gaming community, we use TeamSpeak, and every other clan we know (literally hundreds) all use it. It is pretty much a given for any online gaming community

What laptop is that? I doubt very much you will be doing much gaming on a 32" screen with a laptop, especially with BF3.
Its a Sager NP8130 and im thinking it will run BF3 on medium, but thats just a guess.

On the laptop, maybe, on the 32" TV, assuming it is full HD, no chance. You will get it working on low settings, but not on medium. I can't, however, say that for certain because the actual specs aren't out, but expect it to be about the same requirements as Bad Company 2
Honestly, it isn't a requirement to have a mic with vent/teamspeak. I have never really used it. All the guilds in WoW and other mmo's have had one or the other, but they were pretty meh and not necessary. I never raided as it was never fun... but it might have a use there. Hell, in FFXI, during HNM(big boss fights) and other runs, we didn't need it.
In FPS's, it is nice to have though. Definitely recommended, and really only way a clan works as typing and playing is nearly impossible.
