New To The Computer Gaming World

Im definatly not new to gaming, but with computers... Yes.

I just traded my $1200 custom bmx bike for a custom comp build. The build has these things :

custom antec 300 case with window
i5 cpu
evga p55 FTW sli mother board up to 16gb ram
Ev2 chip
pny 250 preformace gpu
corsair 750 psu
corsair 4gb dominator ram
corsair h50 cpu water cooler and hose mod
1 tb of space 2x 500gb drives
dvd drive 24x Hp

I dont know much about custom computers, like the temps when water cooled, etc... Can anyone tell me some tips? Like about what to do, and what not to do? Basic ways to keep my computer running better? Like... Turn it off everynight, or no? What programs should i have? OR any other helpful facts.

yeah i have, i already know they are outdated, but stuff comes and goes so quickly. i dont really care... It does the job just fine But any tips? Thanks
