new to the game

whats up everybody im nineteen and i just got my first computer i am very interested in learning all about them i was wonderin if anybody could tell me how compters work, what are the best kinds if computers, what different technology is out there and any computer slang you think i should know

if your going to build or do any of the sort
key terms you should look up
Motherboard
RAM
Hard Drive
Graphic Card
Processor
CD drives

Then once you find out what those do, try 'building' a little diagram on a piece of paper, word document, exc.
and try to teach yourself on the components and how they work, the likes and dislikes (I.E static lol)
